SHAH ALAM, October 24, 2018 – 250 zakat asnaf entrepreneur assemble in conjunction with the Transformasi Usahawan Asnaf (TUAS) 2018 organized by Teraju Ekonomi Asnaf (TERAS) Sdn Bhd in collaboration with the Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) at the Setia City Convention Center (SCCC) and officiated by TERAS Chairman, Dato ‘Ibrahim Md. Yusof.
The program targets zakat entrepreneur asnaf who receive business assistance from LZS and has the potential to get out of the asnaf category. Through this program, asnaf entrepreneurs are given a motivation injection to advance themselves and the next business comes out of the poverty cocoon.
Additionally, it has become a platform for asnaf entrepreneurs to build a wider business network, while providing exposure on financial financing opportunities and business expansion from other agencies.
At the same event, 10 zakat entrepreneurs receive recognition for their success in business. They are the recipients of business capital aid from LZS and are now a former asnaf who have succeeded in building their respective business empire. Each of them receives certificates and plaques of appreciation for their excellence in business.
In 2017, 180 asnaf zakat entrepreneurs were successfully formed through the LZS business aid package, which subsequently received the guidance of appropriate courses and business oversight by TERAS. This year, LZS targets a total of 200 asnaf out of the faqr and miskin asnaf categories.
